IMMEDIATE PRESS RELEASE

Financial Advice for Everyone NOW Available

A major change is about to take place in our local MetroWest/Central Massachusetts area. And that is with the availability of financial planning for the “financially disadvantaged”.

Gary F. Restall of AGS FINANCIAL SERVICES recently announced that after years of affiliation with American Express Financial Advisors and currently being fully independent, he has decided, after much thought, to shift directions with his full-service financial planning practice.

Mr. Restall said, “I know the “upper-middle” income to “high” income households have many excellent professional financial advisors available to them. What has been lacking is help for the “lower” to “middle” income households. Their needs are similar even though the profit margin is not. This focus shift of AGS FINANCIAL SERVICES is a major one for the financial planning industry where it seems few professionals nationwide seek this “low-end” market.”

With society becoming as complex as it is, the need far outpaces the supply for what he calls “basic foundational personal financial planning, direction setting and guidance”. This is true for the un-wealthy, who want to do better financially now and in the future, as it is for the upper income households.

AGS FINANCIAL SERVICES' new focus will include: helping and/or assisting people with their direction, values determination, and goal setting; college, home or “toys” buying or funding desires; establishment and maintenance of workable budgets or spending plans; debt and cash flow management; establishing a 6 month cash reserve system; risk and insurance reviews based on needs; employee benefit packages used to the fullest advantage; planning for changing life events; and other interests/issues such as hobbies, self-employeds, health, etc. as they relate to money.

Mr. Restall has thought about this public service need of helping others for years (actually over a decade now), and wondered about the causes of this need. He feels that people have not been trained in the basics.

Mr. Restall commented, “During our school years we have been taught how to earn a living but not how to balance a checkbook, buy a house, repair things or plan for things. Few can work full time, maintain a family and a home, and then spend time to update themselves on the complexities of the constant rules and regulation changes.”

With the major shift in the focus of his practice, a new, lower, and more affordable rate structure will be implemented for this market. Mr. Restall expects many more people will be willing to investigate his services with this new approach and direction. The attitude of the potential clients will be important considerations. They will have to want to do better financially speaking, be willing to listen, able to make decisions and take action, as well as like to have fun while improving.

Gary is excited about the shift in direction of being able to help those with limited resources. Some of his current business practices will stay the same, however. For example, confidentiality is critical. Also remaining full service, independent, fully registered and licensed. Assistance will be tailor-made to the household and he'll continue to make house calls.

The problem Mr. Restall sees now is how to get the word out to those from the lower to middle income households, that tailored financial advice is now available to them in the local area, if they want it, at very attractive and reasonable rates.
